National Honey Show

I recently attended the National Honey Show at Sandown Park, London from Thursday 21st October to Saturday 23rd October.

What a busy few days it was.

Adjusting to the English COVID rules and mixing with people again took some getting used to!

I was very fortunate to have the assistance of Shane Jones from Bee Welsh Honey for the duration of the National Honey Show.

I can’t go from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm without a toilet break!

The National Honey Show opened at 12.00 noon on the Thursday and by 4.00pm we had sold all the stock! A quick phonecall home to Jonathan to fill the truck with as much feed as he could and meet us half way! Jonathan very rarely leaves Wales other than to go to a Cattle/Sheep market in Hereford!! We met in a garage car park and loaded up ready to refill the stand the next morning!

Friday went very well with customers happy we had restocked and were able to purchase their Bee Feed. There was a steady flow of customers all day. That evening a much needed meal and alcoholic beverage was consumed!

By lunch time Saturday four boxes of Bee Feed left!

During the 2 ½ days I was delighted to have met so many customers, some new and some loyal customers who had continued to purchase from us since taking over Wyefield Apiaries in April.

It was great to have some sort of normality and see people socialising and meeting up for the first time since possibly the last National Honey Show in 2019.

I am extremely pleased with how our first time exhibiting at the National Honey Show went.

Lots of new contacts made and lots of faces to names put. Can’t wait to attend the 2022 Show.

Back to reality now I am home and first job to restock the fridge!

A big thank you from the mid Wales bee feed family!
